ELBA — David Lenz has an easy time telling Emma and Kate Clark apart.
The Melba girls basketball coach uses a couple of methods to separate the sister guards.
“Kate’s a little taller and wears knee pads so that helps,” laughed Lenz.
But Lenz was hard pressed to distinguish which one had the most impressive night during his team’s record-setting performance.
Emma and Kate combined for 33 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and eight steals in Melba’s 81-35 non-league win over Homedale Thursday evening at Melba High. The 81 points was the most scored in a single game in program history.
